Anchorsplash

Today was Anchorsplash and it was amazing!!  All of the fraternities and sororities created synchronized swimming routines that they performed.  This year, the theme was musicals and all of them were really creative.  One sorority performed to “Singing in the Rain” and another did Moulin Rouge.  Out of the fraternities, some of the best would have to include Footloose and the Lion King.
The best part of the whole show is some of the stunts that they do.  One fraternity actually had a pyramid that was four people high.  I can only imagine how difficult that was to do in the water!  As I cheerleader, I definitely appreciated all of the basket tosses that were thrown and the height that they reached.  One guy actually did a double front flip out of a toss!
Delta Gamma sponsors the event every year.  They organize it to raise funds for their philanthropy.  But, considering that the entire show is about two hours longs, it was well worth the money paid to watch.
